Did you know that there are 8 areas of self care? In my latest blog post  I am going to work through each one of them suggest practical examples and ways to access tools  to get you started on your self care journey..

1. PHYSICAL SELF CARE

2. MENTAL SELF CARE

Mental Self Care is all about taking care of our mental health and one way of doing this is by incorporating Mindfulness practices.

3. EMOTIONAL SELF CARE

Practicing Gratitude and seeking support when necessary are ways we can take care of our emotional self. Writing 3 things we are grateful for each day is a start.

Yoga, Meditation or Prayer are great practices we can incorporate into our daily routine.

5.INTELLECTUAL SELF CARE

Learning a new skill or having a creative outlet you enjoy are examples of intellectual self care.

6. SOCIAL SELF CARE

We all need social interactions. Connecting with others and  setting healthy boundaries are meaningful social self care strategies. Who could you connect with today?

7.ENVIRONMENTAL SELF CARE

This may appear a bit alien to some but can be a really effective self care practice. Decluttering, creating a relaxation space and going out in Nature are examples of environmental self care. For some Gardening tips, follow link.

8. FINANCIAL SELF CARE

Last but not least we come to financial self care. Let’s be honest, if we are struggling financially, our physical and/or mental health will likely be affected negatively so its beneficial to be proactive here. Examples of financial self care are budgeting and accessing financial guidance, when required.
